What is a Bernedoodle?

• A Bernedoodle is a crossbreed between a Bernese and a Poodle. Since they are a hybrid, no puppy/litter is identical. The parents genes blend in different ways and each puppy is unique. Doesn’t that make it a fun surprise?

• Bernedoodles are know for their intelligence, affection and sociable temperament. They tend to have the loyalty and gentleness of the Bernese, and the goofy energy and intelligence of the Poodle.

• The Bernedoodle is low to non shedding so a great option for people with allergies.

How big will my puppy get?

• Bandit’s puppies are typically in the 25-40lbs range.

What color will my bernedoodle be?

• The F1 Mini Bernedoodle comes in many different colors. The most popular color is the traditional black tri color which consists of black, white and tan and will strongly resemble the Bernese mountain dog's colors. Since this is the most popular color that is currently what we breed for.

Will my Bernedoodle fade?

• There is no genetic test available at this time to tell if a puppy has the fading gene. There is always the possibility your puppy will fade. Some of Bandit’s puppies have faded, others are fine. Our goal is to have our Bernedoodles look as much like a Bernese even as a adult.
